The Maritime and Coastguard Agency

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency is the UK Government's point of contact for shipping information, regulation and safety policy.  They oversee search and rescue services, as well as developing guidelines for safety on board ships and at sea.  The MCA is also taking a lead in the pursuit of cleaner UK waters.

The MCA are the accrediting body for the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (95) training programme which Red Ensign Maritime Training specialises in.   We are constantly developing new programmes and bespoke delivery mechanisms for STCW95 and work closely with the MCA to ensure that our courses meet their exacting standards.
