This is a one day course aimed at both experienced riders and those who are new to the sport of personal watercraft. It aims to introduce you to handling the vessel, but also to the safety aspects inherent in managing your own personal watercraft.

The syllabus for this certificate includes:

• Launching your PWC
• Familiarisation of controls and of handling
• Control at slow speed
• Balance and trim
• Capsizing and righting
• Falling off and re-boarding
• Navigation and planning a route
• Safety and emergency equipment
• Recognising and responding to potential collision situations
• Courtesy to other water users
• Meteorology

The course is a combination of theory and practice and is delivered at our headquarters on the Solent at Cowes, Isle of Wight

There are no pre-requisites for this course.

Participants must be able to swim 100m in clothes.
