In a medical emergency, first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This one-day course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers of yacht and motor vessels. It fulfils the requirements for skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven.

To provide an understanding of first aid for skippers of small craft. The syllabus will include (but not be restricted to):

• Treatment of cuts, bruises and other injuries
• Seasickness
• Hypothermia and deep water shock
• Anaphalactic shock
• CPR
• Proper storage of medicines
• The on-board first aid kit
• Emergency service contact

The course will cover a single day, in our specially equipped training rooms at our headquarters in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
