ISO Success for Red Ensign

Red Ensign has been awarded the prestigious ISO9001 international quality accreditation by SGS United Kingdom.

Recently, Red Ensign Limited has undergone a process of significant expansion, and has now implemented recognised quality management systems that build upon its excellence as a maritime training college.Red Ensign can now demonstrate its commitment to existing and future customers and provide a quality focus to those at the highest level in commercial organisations, and to individual customers requiring face-to-face training and mentoring.

Graham White, Business Link Adviser on the Isle of Wight, worked with the company over an eight month period.

Red Ensign Ltd achieved the award after a rigorous assessment by SGS. Andy Dale, Managing Director of Red Ensign was pleased with the SGS assessment. "SGS are used by the UK's maritime industry governing body, the MCA, so we were confident that our assessed processes would measure up against those who regulate our day to day work in maritime training. We were very pleased to be have achieved this accreditation ".

Graham said: "By achieving and maintaining the ISO9001 standard, Red Ensign is sending out the message that the high standards of training that they have achieved are committed to over the longer term." Andy noted "Our team of highly qualified and experienced teachers, instructors and administrators work together to continually improve the company's working practices. We are delighted that the stringent standards we are following meet the criteria for ISO9001.The award helps us stand out from the other organisations in the maritime training sector, and provides the confidence the market-place requires".
